One of the best things about being a duo of Aussies going to Watches & Wonders is the fact that we get to catch up with some of our favourite Zachs. The American watch media scene has the benefit of not one, but four eminent Zachs, and they’re all great. We spoke to Zach Piña on the podcast a few months back, and joked that we should get all the Zachs on, and well, we’ve nearly completed the set. So, if you’re a fan of insightful analysis of the watch industry and watch media landscape, or just people named Zach, we’ve got you.
Which Zach is this? This is Zach Piña — if you’ve been around a while, you might remember him from his stint at ABTW, but more recently, he’s been behind the lens (while leaning out of a plane), creating the adventurous ad campaigns that watch brands love so dearly.
Why should I watch it? If you're looking for dramatic tales of glamorous drama and why GoldenEye is considered the GOAT, this is a good watch. We also cover why Baume & Mercier might offer the best value of 2025.
Which Zach is this? This is Zach Kazan. He’s the Managing Editor of Worn & Wound, one of the last remaining bastions of old-school watch content online.
Why should I watch it? Honestly, we don’t talk about watches a whole lot in this episode. We all dive deep into Zach’s other love, the world of cinema, and why Nic Cage is the hero of our age. On top of that, we chat about value and American-made watches.
Which Zach is this? Some say he’s the final boss of Zach’s, but we call him Zach Weiss, co-founder of Worn & Wound.
Why should I watch it? Worn & Wound began life with a clear focus on microbrands, so obviously, we chat about that increasingly unhelpful definition, and what it means in 2025. Beyond that, we chat Wind Up, which is Worn & Wound’s RL event series that does great work in the watch community. But before the final Zach chat, we talked about the simmering Jay-Z x Franck Muller beef.
If you’ve enjoyed Zach Attack 2025, that’s great — job done from our POV. But it would be great if you could share it with a watch-loving Zach in your life. Because statistically, we know they’re out there.
