The one with Chris Hall (and some other substackular episodes)

Early on in our chat with Chris Hall (of Fourth Wheel fame) we joke that he’s actually auditioning as either Felix or Andy’s replacement. But the truth is, Chris has served as something of a silent host over the years — certainly we’ve pulled enough content from his newsletter over the years to give him a stake in the pod. We’ve had him on a few times before, and its always a pleasure (here he is in the very auspicious episode 88). 

This time around we talked about how his substack has evolved and what his plans for the future are, as well as the joys of running a niche media enterprise. If you missed it, go give it a watch.

While we’re on the topic of watch substackers, we have (of course) chatted with the OG, Tony Traina from Rescapement (now called Unpolished Watches). We chatted with Tony shortly after he made the jump to Hodinkee (and again when we ran into him at Watches & Wonders last year). 

As for other watch substack people, we had Owen Lawton of OxWatch on earlier this year about the hyper-niche watch culture of Oxford University. 

Finally, another substacker we’ve had on plenty of times is the one and only Jason Heaton .. most recently we discussed his second novel, Sweetwater.
